Seriously. I’m an old man who started reading manga 8 years ago when I retired, and I have precious little left to read now. Lotsa kids’ stuff! But then there is Birdy and a few others: Birdy is like a very good, very un-dumb science fiction novel. (The stuff in the flashback to Birdy’s childhood must have been murder to translate!) Well conceptualized, well plotted, with interesting, often weird, characters whom it’s easy to tell apart.
Thank you for sticking with it for so long. You were the perfect translator for something so complex.
